Meet Tammy Krein, our newest member to the DADi family. She brings excitement and knowledge to this position. If she doesn't know it she is sure to try and find out the information needed. She has had experience in ecomomic development with her years on the EAEDC board, several fundraising events and has owned several businesses with her husband Ken. She is looking forward to serving Deuel County and promoting all we have to offer. Her motto for this job come from a son "For greater things have yet to come and greater things are still to be done in this city" or county in our case!

Tammy grew up on a farm near White, SD and graduated from Deubrook High School. She moved to Sioux Falls, SD to attend Nettleton Business College for Travel and Airline Management. After college she married and moved to the Estelline Area where her and her husband have owned several businesses, including the Estelline Bakery(3 yrs), Country Corner Mobil(16yrs), and currently own Krein Trucking and 3 Star Rentals. They also farm over in the White area. Tammy previously worked for Inter-Lakes Community Action for the past 3 years.

She has been involved in many organizations while living in Estelline. Estelline Area Economic Development Corp, Reflections Memorial Par, Santa's Workshop and Kids Crafts. And as you all know that if your spouse is involved in something you also help out there too... So one of her favorite things to do lately has been to make cotton candy for the El Riad Shrine Horse Corps for the Shrine Circus in Sioux Falls and to parading with them to promote Shriner's Children. Quilting, Crafting, Cooking and spending time with family and friends are just a few of the other things she loves to do. One of her favorite quotes is "It's not how we make mistakes, but how we correct them, that defines us."

Her family includes her husband Ken, and 3 children, Brandon and his wife Angela of Estelline (both are teachers), Cheyenne of Estelline (NSU business grad and finishing up her teaching degree at SDSU) and Morgan of Estelline (also finishing up her teaching degree at SDSU.
