Daryl grew up on a farm in the Yankton area.  He and his wife Beth have raised 2 children and now have 8 grandchildren all located in southeast South Dakota.  He retired in 2005 from a military career and began his cooperative career in 1989.  He has been the General Manager of Deuel County Farmer's Union Oil Company since January of 2016.
