Raised in Pierre/Onida area, Deb graduated from Clear Lake High School and attended SDSU before marrying and starting a family.  She returned to college in 1984 and finished her education degree and taught for 28 years in the Deuel School before retiring from teaching in 2014. She now works for SDSU as Deuel County 4-H Youth Program advisor since the fall of 2015.
